Join us at rehearsal

We rehearse Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Ayer Shirley Middle School in Shirley, MA.  We occasionally have concerts scheduled on Wednesdays in the Spring and Summer, so send an email to double check membership@nashobavalleyconcertband.org.

We do not rehearse if the Ayer Shirley School District is closed due to the weather (or sometimes if the district is closed for school vacation).

924 Perimeter Road, Shirley, MA

Membership information

Any local musician with a band instrument (woodwind, brass, or percussion) is invited to rehearse with the Band.  There are no auditions required. Participation in performances is at the discretion of the conductor. Regular rehearsal attendance is encouraged - the last two rehearsals before a concert are especially important.

For More information contact us at nvcb@nashobavalleyconcertband.org

Logistics

Sheet music is provided.  At concerts, players must provide their own music stands and chairs.

The Band is governed by a Board.  The Board is responsible for policy decision-making, financial record keeping, and communication with the membership.  The Board consists of five officers and up to five members-at-large.

Funding

The Nashoba Valley Concert Band does not charge any fees for membership.  Funding is provided by an annual fundraising mail campaign, and by donations from organizations and towns.
